Midwest Wrestling Tour

The Midwest Wrestling Tour (MWT) is a collection of youth wrestling events designed to attract some of the most competitive young wrestlers from the Midwest - and beyond - ages Pre-K through 8th grade . The MWT currently encompasses the Gopher State (MN), Badgerland (WI), Hawkeye (IA) and Buffalo Nationals (SD). The MWT has enjoyed tremendous growth since its inception in 2013. Beginning with just one event - the Gopher State Nationals in 2006 - the Tour has added additional events in successive years due to popularity and ever-increasing participation numbers. The 2016-2017 MWT enjoyed its biggest year to date boasting 3,200 wrestlers competing from 17 different states with an estimated attendance of over 10,000 spectators including an additional 800+ viewers watching from home via Trackcast. The Tour also utilizes the features offered by Track Wrestling to allow full integration for registration, on-site administration, complete results and live streaming. Highlighting the MWT is the prized MWT Championship Belt. Wrestlers placing 1st-4th in three of the four MWT events will earn the coveted MWT belt. The Midwest Wrestling Tour events are a joint effort between the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) and the Wisconsin Sports Services (WSS). MYAS and WSS are joint 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the delivery of youth sports services to young athletes, coaches and parents.

The MWT is the Midwest's Premier series of youth wrestling events.
