Maison Pemberton

Maison Pemberton was built in 1937 in the historic neighborhood of Pemberton Heights in old West Austin. The home was among the first to be built in the Colonial Revival Style, and is among the earliest examples in the Austin area. Pemberton Heights is noted for its expansive oak and magnolia trees, crepe myrtle and lush gardens. Maison Pemberton was originally built as a 2-level duplex but was occupied by its first owner as a single-family dwelling. The recently renovated Maison Pemberton has restored the 2-level duplex features allowing it to be rented as an entire house or by a level. Both levels include separate living, dining, kitchen, two bedrooms with baths, and private entrances. The ground floor, Garden View, is named for the charming garden window overlooking the terrace. The second floor, Bird’s-eye, is named for the expansive view from windows overlooking the terrace and rear garden. Garden View bedrooms include a king-sized bedroom with luxury linens and private bathroom in an enclosed suite overlooking the front of the house. The twin bedroom with a private bathroom in an enclosed suite overlooks the terrace. The full-sized kitchen is equipped for true foodies complete with a gas range, gourmet cookware, vintage silverplate utensils, china, stemware, wine chiller and recipe books. The living room opens into the dining room and is complete with a gas fireplace, TIVO-enabled flat screen television, sound bar and DVD player. A full-sized washer and dryer are also included. Bird’s-eye, located on the upper level, includes a king-sized bedroom with luxury linens and private bathroom in an enclosed suite overlooking the front of the house. The twin bedroom includes a private bathroom in an enclosed suite with lovely views of the terrace. Bird’s-eye also includes a full-sized kitchen equipped for foodies with a gas range, gourmet cookware, vintage china, stemware, and recipe books. The living room opens onto the dining room and includes a TIVO-enabled flat screen television, sound bar and DVD player. A stacking washer and dryer are also included. Complimentary wifi is available throughout. The terrace, with two outdoor dining tables and a five-burner gas grill, is a perfect setting for al fresco dining and entertaining. Upon request, additional tables may be added for get-togethers and parties under the stars of Texas. Maison Pemberton guests park off-street in the rear of the property. Bird’s-eye and Garden View each have a private entrance directly off of the parking area.
