Cotera+Reed Architects was formed by Phillip Reed and Juan Cotera in 2003. Both have a long history of work in Austin and with public projects. As part of the local design community, Juan and Phil bring a depth of experience in a wide array of building issues, particularly in Austin, and also on sensitive downtown projects. They have been actively involved in Austin's downtown for many years, by serving on Austin's Design Commission, and through their downtown projects, including the New Austin City Hall, and the development of the functional design for Austin Convention Center Hotel.
Cotera+Reed Architects focuses its interest on the public sector. Our architecture is directed by our concerns for both the built and unbuilt environments, social consciousness and resource stewardship.
