Marie is passionate about ending the stigma that surrounds those that struggle with addiction and mental health issues. She has extensive experience providing psychological and behavioral treatments and specializes in treating those that chronically relapse, intimacy disorders, sexual compulsivity and trauma survivors. Marie also provides interventions and treatment consulting for those needing a higher level of care. Marie has a Master’s of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and a MS in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edward’s University, and a BS in English and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University. Marie is chair of the Dallas TAAP, former President of the Dallas Area Drug Prevention Partnership and also volunteers with numerous other organizations, both locally and nationally. In 2014, the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, Dallas chapter recognized Marie as the Counselor of the Year and the Caron Foundation recognized Marie with the Community Leadership Award.
