What is a Doula? A Doula is a trained professional labor assistant. They provide educational, physical, and emotional support during pregnancy, labor & birth, and postpartum. A doula does NOT perform any type of medical procedures, such as a medical professional. She respects and honors your decisions regarding your pregnancy and birth. A doula will NOT take the place of your partner. She is there to assist and support you and your partner with the birth of your child(ren). Why would I want a doula? There is much confusion surrounding birth in our culture. A doula will help you find your own philosophy around birth and encourage you with information and resources that support how you feel.
Providing professional, physical, educational and emotional support before, during and after birth.
