Dane County Humane Society

The shelter is located on a 29-acre wooded site off of Voges Road in Madison. Our facility includes a state-of-the-art veterinary center, animal exercise areas, walking trails, horse and livestock barn, wildlife rehabilitation center, counseling rooms for adoptions, and humane education classroom. Dane County Humane Society's Wildlife Center is dedicated to providing responsible care for the ill, injured and orphaned wildlife of south central Wisconsin, and to promoting education and awareness of the crucial role of wildlife in our community. Wildlife Center Summer Hours: 8 am - 8 pm Phone: (608) 838-0413 ext. 151 We have a wonderful partnership with Mounds Pet Food Warehouse where we have Satellite Adoption Centers throughout the community that offer cat and/or critter adoption. Dane County Humane Society's Thrift Store is located at 680 Grand Canyon Drive #5 in Madison, the former site of Adoption Center West. The store sells gently used items from pet supplies to clothing to houseware with all proceeds benefitting Dane County Humane Society.
