Bees provide an invaluable, though often overlooked service: pollination. Recently, Colony Collapse Disorder has pushed bees front and center, as agricultural ventures worldwide were faced with the loss of their most important pollinator. The University of Texas Beekeeping Society, also known as BEEVO, seeks to reinvest beekeeping to individuals. If more people keep bees, there’s more pollination, and more environmental sustainability. This organization is pending approval.
