Advanced Employment is a unique work environment and an important piece of the Madison, WI community. We support 150 clients with a range of disabilities, 1/4 of which come into our office weekly. Our job is to make life less difficult for others while assisting them to be as independent as possible. We are here for the individuals we support, to build them up and focus on their strengths and work around their weaknesses if we can't make them stronger. One of the best things about AE is that everyone in the organization does some form of direct job coaching in their day-to-day work. This way, no one loses touch with why we are here. Being directly involved daily with the people we support is essential to our effectiveness as an agency. Our job coaches are responsible for transporting clients to and from work and supporting them throughout the day however it is needed. Our organization operates on the FISH philosophy, originally brought into being by the workers at the Seattle Fish Market. The philosophy consists of four main points: 1. Choose Your Attitude 2. Make Their Day 3. Be Here 4. Play Helping each of our clients find a purpose and meaningful work that they enjoy is our primary goal. We aim to "Be the Bridge" between our clients and the world.
