The Franklin Mountains State Park is comprised of almost 26,000 acres of wilderness and offers excellent opportunities to camp, hike, bike, bird watch, paraglide, rock climb, and to be used as a classroom for kids from the age of 1 to 99.

The Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park, located within the Franklin Mountains, features an aerial cable car situated on 195.742 acres of rugged mountain and rock formations on the east side of the Franklin Mountains.
